About

pieces of me

After years and years of putting it off, I’ve finally set up my own blog site! Better late than never, right?  It’s a shame they had to shut down multiply.com.  I lost all my blogs there (and I was too lazy to back them all up. tsk! tsk!).  Anyway, I’m just following the site’s advice to get on with the “get to know me” part and introduce myself a bit.  I’ve actually been putting it off for the longest time. K  So here goes:

What inspired you to start your blog?

Ever since I was a kid, I have always been fond of writing down my thoughts and feelings whenever I felt a strong surge of emotion; may it be an overwhelming euphoria, a consuming hatred, an ecstatic frenzy, a ravenous craving – everything was written down in my diary.  I used to be an active blogger when multiply.com was still up.  When they closed down however, my passion for blogging went on a stand-still.  I did think about starting up my own blogging site at some point but decided against it due to the more urgent demands of everyday life.

Describe the intended focus of your site and what your readers can expect.

I need an outlet.  That’s basically the primary reason why I set up this blog.  Life can be pretty overwhelming and it just so happens that writing is one of my most effective diversions when everything gets a bit too much to take.  I’ll be sharing lots of stuff, from deep insights to daily musings to inspiring thoughts to gluttonous indulgence and so much more!  It’ll definitely be something that a lot of people can relate to.

Introduce yourself: What do you do? What are your interests?

Who am I?  A few years ago, I would have answered this question with a two page preamble describing myself, my quirks, my pet peeves, my life’s journey, and so much more.  However, after life has worn me down with heaps and blows of pain, trials, and challenges, I somehow find this question quite complicated to answer.  Indeed, time has made a different woman out of me.  Gone is the carefree, happy-go-lucky, and idealistic girl that I used to be.  From the comforts of my cocoon emerged a stronger, more mature, realistic woman who has witnessed the tests of time and life’s endless battles.

I am currently a content writer working freelance for different clients.  I used to be such a social butterfly and was always on the go; now however, I find myself settling down to a deeper, more peaceful, and definitely more meaningful kind of lifestyle.  For my interests, I was a ballerina for twelve years and a brown belt for karate-do.  I play the piano too.  I’m into deep thoughts, humor, social media (fb, twitter, g+, pinterest, youtube, you name it, I got it!), skin care, cosmetics, computers, road trips, and photography (especially food).  And oh yes, I love to eat.  My appetite can be pretty unbelievable.  I also like going to the beach or the mountains whenever I find a need to clear my mind and just simply relax.

Tell readers what your blog’s title means and why you chose it.

I love life.  Even if there are times that it can be such a turmoil, I still love it.  It gives us so much to talk about, wouldn’t you agree?  From everything that goes on in my life, both in triumph and defeat, I learn a lot; and that’s something that I would like to share to everyone.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have fun exploring my posts and I hope to influence you in some way. 🙂 Toodles!
